Matt's background in law enforcement has shaped the way he leads and serves. With more than ten years of law enforcement experience, and continued work as a narcotics officer. He understands the importance of trust, accountability, attention to detail, and integrity. That experience gives him a deep understanding of safety, risk, and importance of building strong relationships with the people and communities he serves. 

Black Hills Protection's leadership also includes a Director of Operations who is a combat veteran of the U.S. Army. That experience adds another layer of discipline, service-minded leadership, and operational focus to the company's mission of protecting clients and supporting the communities it serves. 

Since taking ownership, Matt has focused on strengthening the company's foundation and preparing Black Hills Protection for continued growth. His goal is to use the company as a way to further build relationships with people and organizations at every level, whether city, country, state, or national. While also being of assistance to law enforcement and helping support the load they carry. In turn, that support can help clients when issues come up by connecting strong security services with a better understanding of public safety needs. He believes security is not only about presence and protection, but also about reliability, communication, and earning the confidence of every client.
